Winter Masquerade Ball, The Cliff at Lyons

As we wind down for Christmas, we are truly leaving 2018 with a bang. Last week, we produced a very memorable private event in the stunning Cliff at Lyons, Co. Kildare.

This event was particularly special for the Cliff group, a significant personal event for their close family and friends.

Our instant rapport with the venue management team, dedication from our talented performers and production crew, mixed with a huge dollop of the S.E.A. team Christmas spirit made for the perfect concoction in delivering this very special masquerade ball.

The guests were collected by coach and began their night driving up the long avenue, lit by fire on both sides for its entire length. Fire performers warmed up the guests as they walked from the top of the avenue towards the celebrations. They were greeted at the pond by Poet’s corner, beautifully lit by lanterns fixed along the water.

This light was brought to life by our fire performers placed elegantly on the bridge and around the sides of the pond. As the evening began, a lively brass band welcomed the guests during their drinks reception while everyone mingled in the crisp December air.

The journey continued in the Potager’s garden, with a night circus spectacle, packed with vibrant and colourful entertainment and magical performers. The guests were guided along the festoon lit pathway, accompanied by various aerial, circus and fire performers, and led through to the outdoor canopied dining area.

After dinner, our ‘sly foxes’ made an appearance and assisted our clients’ friends and family to their next location, The Mill. Their headline act for the night was award winning Irish singer songwriter, Gavin James, performing an outstanding set of his own chart-topping hits and finishing with a Christmas flourish of his beautiful rendition of ‘Fairytale of New York’.

Two of our best magicians took to the stage to thank Gavin and accompany guests to the Orangery where they could enjoy some interactive close up magic over dessert.

The final performance was from our party band, JG Collective, who tempted the crowd back onto the dancefloor to stay on their feet and dance into the late hours.

When they needed a break, they could be found outside in the ‘karaoke caravan’ where the brilliant DJ Claire Beck gave guests the chance to give a performance of their own.

We loved working with our private client and the Cliff onsite team. We’re so delighted we could bring this magical vision to life. Here’s what our client had to say;

“Coming from outside the industry and not knowing the relevant companies, we did our research and SEA came highly recommended both online and offline. S.E.A., under Susie's stewardship and Laura's operational implementation, exceeded all our expectations and helped us to create an unforgettable night.

Their level of preparation in advance of the event was meticulous. They gave their honest advice throughout yet ultimately listened to us, the clients. Their contacts throughout the industry meant that the quality of music, light, sound and overall entertainment was outstanding and extremely well produced.”
